Florida Wildlife Welcomes You Into A World Of Tradition

In one of the state’s most abundant wildlife areas, this Florida Discovery Center occupies a place of honour. Wild Heron is a large development in Panama City, Florida and a connection to the natural world is an important part of that area’s tradition. A visit to this impressive, purpose-built presentation center begins at the theatre entrance. Coming in from outdoors, the visitor passes through an intimately lit, calming space that sets up a sense of transition into an almost mystical world, rich in abundance of natural wildlife.

Subtly whimsical animal sculptures introduce the story and ready the mind for a relaxed, focused visit. Inside, the center is all about tradition, as a circular series of rooms present the full story, stage by stage. A feature wall expounds further on the “tradition” theme, while custom-made corroded bronze frames that look like remnants of an old shipwreck showcase original commissioned paintings, telling the story of the resort and its amenities.

Wild Heron also incorporates a world-class destination golf course, designed by renowned golfer, Greg Norman. A tribute to Norman is featured in a specially-designated display case.
