The Tobiano real estate presentation center is a textbook example of a controlled sales environment. The center stands on the former site of one of BC’s largest ranches, outside Kamloops, BC, at a major nexus of historic routes and railway connections. The old Trans-Canada Highway runs right by it, as does the old Canadian National Railway, and the location is well-known to locals and visitors, alike. The building itself is free-standing, designed and built specifically for this purpose. Inside, every step connects the visitor to another stage in the development’s brand message. Traffic is comfortably directed past wall-sized displays, interactive video installations and, at several points, a series of ingenious fused glass art pieces that reflect the colours of the surrounding landscape.
