Palmilla Hotel: Where The Stars Of Hollywood’s Golden Era Fit On One Carved Wooden Marlin
The reproduction antique carved wood Marlin that greets visitors to the Palmilla Hotel beach resort sales center is a very special monument. Back in the 1940s, the Palmilla Hotel Resort was built by the son of Mexico’s President in San Jose del Cabo, the Baja’s prime piece of real estate, and immediately became the retreat of choice for Hollywood royalty. Errol Flynn, Clark Gable, Carole Lombard, Bob Hope, Bing Crosby and other fabled Hollywood stars made regular pilgrimage to this tropical sanctuary and their stories are commemorated in meticulous hand lettering, on this beautiful carved wood marlin exhibit. It looks a hundred years old, but 3DS made it in our shop.
Around the resort exhibit, interactive touch screen video systems shine from inside ornate polished brass frames. A spectacular hand-cast glass map shows the resort and surrounding area. No ordinary real estate map, this piece has a much more artistic flavor and, illuminated from within, emits a jewel-like glow that draws enchanted visitors to it.
